Confidential Help
SFCC provides up to five assessment/consultation sessions with a counselor to assess the problem. (A counselor will determine the number of sessions, which may be fewer than five.)
- Crisis Intervention
- Development of a confidential plan of action
- Referral to appropriate treatment/service providers
- Follow-up as needed
No Cost Services
SFCC services are fully paid for by Caltech, which allows Caltech employees to receive all services at no cost to them.
Your health insurance program typically covers other treatments or services to which you may be referred. The SFCC will work with you to determine your coverage and to access your benefits.
Confidentiality
All contact with SFCC counselors is strictly confidential in accordance with California Law.
SFCC records are not available to management and do not become part of the employee's personnel file.
No information can be released by SFCC without the employee's written permission.
Managers
Supervisors and management personnel may consult with SFCC counselors for new ideas and approaches to resolving work-related issues.
